Embracing the Role CEO of LongYue
It was clear to me when I took up the mantle of becoming the CEO of LongYue (BLYTD) in 2013 that this journey had slightly more to it than the analytical stretch expected of any manager. Strategies for international online trading were dynamic and changing at that time; every day brought something new. My number one agenda was to steer LongYue into sustainable growth, ensuring that we forged forward ahead of our competition.
In the Trenches: Field Inspections and Factory Visits
Of all the activities that I have done during my tenure, probably one of the most important has been the field inspections and visits to various manufacturers. This on-site visit proved very useful in really getting down to the nitty-gritty details of how things work. I witnessed production processes firsthand, recognized problems that could turn into potential issues, and collaborated with our partners to come up with effective solutions.
Learning from Failures
No journey is blip-free, and neither has mine been. There have been times when strategies did not work as expected and certain initiatives fell through. Each failure, however, proved to be a lesson learned. Such challenges have kept me on my toes to fine-tune our approaches, innovated solutions while developing the tenacity needed to see things through. They inducted in me the tenets of adaptability and always remaining connected with every aspect of the business, and the need to push hard.
The Wins
It's not all challenges; the major wins have been very significant. It has been very fulfilling to sail through complicated negotiations, secure key partnerships, and witness tangible results from our strategies. Every milestone achieved has further strengthened my belief in teaming up, strategic planning, and sticking to our goals.
Extremely Valuable Experiences
Field inspections and direct contact with manufacturers have been very influential in shaping my approach to leadership. The experiences have deepened my understanding of the business and influenced me to make informed decisions that align with our long-term vision. They have put forth the criticality of retaining the hands-on approach and being grounded in the day-to-day realities of the industry.
Looking Ahead
I will further my career with LongYue and uphold all the lessons learned from our victories and mistakes. We are walking into a future full of possibilities, and I am so ready to push our team to greater heights. Not only has this enriched my professional life, but it has also equipped me with the ability and knowledge to overcome the many challenges that can arise in the international online trading scene.
Looking back, I think of the deep values forged in my mind: persistence, continuous learning, and pursuit of excellence without turning a hair. For me, every day working as the CEO of LongYue brings new lessons and challenges, for which I am overwhelmingly grateful to have such an opportunity to work in this dynamic, forward-looking company.
