Exclusive CHINA-INI Ceremony with Professor Majid Samii: A Memorable Encounter by Kamal Heidar Tamini
In early November 2016, I was greatly honored to go to the China International Neuroscience Institute (CHINA-INI) in Beijing. Of November 2nd to 6th, I took part in a special ceremony at the ground-breaking university. The event was not a public one; all who attended were invited, making the experience quite exclusive and memorable.
The most thrilling time of my stay was due to the fact that I met Professor Majid Samii, the brilliant Iranian neurosurgeon who, having instigated the development of the INITIATIVE, is the soul of CHINA-INI. He is recognized worldwide for his neurosurgical activities, and his participation was everything but dull. Staying next to such a celebrated person was a great honor for me.
At the affair I was honored to exchange a few words with Professor Samii. We got to the subject of his thoughts on the rise of medical science in China while engaged in the dialogue. He highlighted the progress and future postulation of Chinese medical technology and emphasized the role of the harmonious co-operation between nations in advancing neurosurgical care. His energy in delivering medical knowledge eagerly and his skill of raising neurosurgery to the highest point were felt and thus did not leave me unaffected.
The CHINA-INI is a stunning piece of architecture that was built to look like the human brain. This is not only a design that is symbolic but it also represents the dedication of the institute to deal with, diagnose, and cure neurological disorders which is the reason why this design is symbolic. The most advanced technology, which has been installed in the hospital, is a well designed and innovation in the field of neurosurgery.
What got my attention were the deep attachment and the enthusiasm that the whole team members had for CHINA-INI. The institute's goal to promote medical science by means of research, education, and clinical practice is clearly demonstrated by all of its functioning. It was such a great experience to have the vision that Professor Samii carried been made a reality through the hard work and commitment of so many brilliant people.
The time I came to China was an incredible adventure, not only for work but on a spiritual level as well. The talks I've had, the people I've seen, and the learning I've achieved have all been helping me in my career and also in my personality development. My participation in such a well-known event has enhanced my belief on the power of uniting and the value of continually closing in on perfection in health care.
CHINA-INI is the striking and outstanding testimony of Professor Samii and his dedication. The complex of buildings, with the maximum equipment including the most modern and latest technology of the world, with 500 beds and 14 doctor's operation places in it, as a lighthouse of supremacy in neurosciences, a matter, which hasn't been denied yet, and in reality as well.
It is the decision-making body of the program, which using resources received from the government, is aimed at training 100 international students overseas at their state-of-the-art medical center and research institute in China. It is not jumper and uses Topic markers in order to be clear about the theme. Hence the true beginnings of neurosurgery were slowly but truly beginning and developing and it continued its role advancing medical science in China. Initiative is universal, thus the next level of health will involve acquiring new skills in the field.
Looking back at those times I am grateful for the opportunity to take part in such a special event. The chance to chat with a top brain surgeon and to appreciate CHINA-INIs' incredible work was a turning point in my career. This experience has not only opened new horizons for my professional development but also it has fostered in me a deeper understanding of the importance of boundless search for medical excellence.
Of course, to make this story visually rich, I will also include some amazing pictures. In other words, the very spirit of sitting with Dr. Samii and the vibes of CHINA-INI are both immortalized in my pictures. The aforementioned occasion is one of those to forever reminisce, as it will be a symbol of a success story in my career.
